Install the EPEL repository on CentOS 6, Oracle Linux and RHEL 6

This little HOW-TO shows you how to enable the fedora EPEL repository on the 64 bit version of CentOS 6, Oracle Linux 6 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 (x86_64)
It contains a lot of useful packages and software that you wont have access to otherwise

Add the EPEL repository from the fedora project
Open a terminal and become root

su - root
rpm -Uvh http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/epel/6/x86_64/epel-release-6-5.noarch.rpm
